Why Trains??

When you look at our statement above you must wonder, what does Trains have to do with a nonprofit teaching disAbled Individuals water sports? Every nonprofit must fundraise to support its programs and Adaptive Aquatics is no different. We take the traditional way to fundraise by asking for donations, write grants and occasionally sell T-Shirts with our logos on them. But we have also found another way to fundraise by offering model trains.

How did that Happen?

Long story short, we do take donations of all sorts and a series of events happened that ended up with some model trains being given to the nonprofit.  By doing some research we found there was a market for these model trains and started to supplement our fundraising with them. As the old statement says, when you roll a snowball down a hill, it will grow and eventually get out of control. Well you get the story and now here we are.

Feel Good Purchases…

By purchasing one of the many model trains we have found either by donations of them to us or by estate sales we have gotten, you will help out a nonprofit keep the programs going for hundreds, even thousands of disAbled Individuals into the Future. We have learned the value and quality of certain model train brands and have many satisfied customers over the last few years. Adaptive Aquatics celebrates it’s 40th Anniversary in 2020.
